The planning objectives for the Yokohl Ranch Master Development Plan (MDP) are:

Implement the provisions of the adopted Tulare County General Plan, including the Foothill Growth Management Plan for the Yokohl Ranch property.

Provide for orderly pre-planning and long-term development of Yokohl Ranch so that the entire community and each of the area development planning areas will provide an environment of stable and desirable character.

Give the developer reasonable assurance that Area Development Plans prepared in accordance with MDP will be acceptable to the County.

Enable the county to adopt measures providing for the planning of long term use(s) on the surrounding areas in a manner compatible with this MDP.

Secure for the citizens of the County the social and economic advantages resulting from an orderly and planned use of its land resources.

Establish conditions which will allow diverse land uses to exist in harmony with the community.

Preserve ranching, designated open spaces and natural ecosystems.

Facilitate adequate provision of community facilities such as transportation, water and sewer service, schools, parks and other public requirements.

Provide flexibility in development standards and permit planned diversification and innovation in the location of land uses and structures.

Recognize the inherent influence that the economic market will have in the implementation of Yokohl Ranch.

Allow a diversity of land uses, relationships, buildings and open spaces in planned concepts while ensuring substantial compliance with the spirit, intent and other provisions of the County General Plan.
