The key issues we have identified during the past 18 months are:

Water Supply:

The property owner, The Yokohl Ranch Company LLC, holds off-site surface water rights that may be transferred to Yokohl Ranch to provide an adequate, reliable water source for the new communities. Various other options for storing and providing water are being examined.

Traffic and Transportation:

All necessary traffic improvements would be constructed as required by The Yokohl Ranch Plan approvals. The Plan would implement the improvements necessary to mitigate its impacts after traffic studies and environmental review.

Public Safety:

The Yokohl Ranch Plan would include on-site facilities necessary to ensure adequate fire and police protection.


Financing/Services:

The property owner would examine all the various statutory and County options for financing and providing services and infrastructure. Options include, but are not limited to, assessment districts, infrastructure districts, service area districts in combination with other possible options.

Health Services:

The Yokohl Ranch Plan would provide on-site medical facilities as needed.

Schools:

Elementary schools would be provided on-site. A high school could be provided on-site or in a nearby community at the preference of the local school district.
